Doesn't skip shift bog the car forcing you to give it more throttle to get it going and wasting more gas?

If I go to 3rd from 1st at 20mph in my car it feels horrible, bogging the engine isn't a good thing.

Have you had a chance to drive your car very much yet? Even people who were really bothered about skip-shift when they first heard about it (like me) found it was a non-issue once they had their car. If I were to list the top 10 things I'd change about the car, all of which are pretty minor, I don't think eliminating skip-shift would even make the cut.

Exactly.

Quit obsessing about it. Non-issue guys.

Cheers.

I think the computer is a learning computer.

When I'm the only one driving it, it will never go into skip shift; I quit thinking about it.

Then my wife drove it to work, and when I got into the next day, it wanted to skip shift several times, then it quit.

It's not. It takes a very specific combination of parameters to trigger...Speed, Throttle opening etc. I could trigger it at will, but it's now tuned out. I no longer need to drive around it and the car is much more predictable.
