This worked for me earlier.
Free 1 year subscription to SiriusXM for online use or mobile device.

On the Mustang, I made sure to order it with NO Sirius tuner, no Sync, no extra crap.

I'm totally fine with the regular radio channels.

Very few times have I thought to myself that it would be nice if that station would come in clearer or still be able to be heard (satellite stations follow you everywhere, unless you're under heavy tree coverage, tall buildings, or other satellite-reception no-nos)

They tried all kinds of offers to get me to stay with them.

I'd get it if it was free. That's about how much I value them these days.

I even sold off the horrible-performing stock that I had in the company ...
It was Ok until they merged. I have one lifetime transfer left and after that I'm done. They had too many changes to the fine print. After six years the novelty has worn off and I'm tired of the commercials. It's like cable TV or satellite TV, they slowly drop channels, move them or add new ones that you have to pay a premium to listen too, but like anything else in life if your there long enough to see changes you don't like then you start getting disgruntled. I will still listen to satellite over terrestrial if given a choice as long as I'm not shelving out dinero for it.

I have have it for 6 years and 4 cars. I am still on my free 6 month trial on my new mustang. Wife has it in her Edge and I use it on my iPhone in my office.

I have the auto renew but only pay $15 month. $9.99 for my wife and $3.50 for my iPhone and online.

For the semi-audiophiles out there:
I hate the sound quality of Sirius. They use something like 34 kbps compression, which is ridiculously low for music. You can hear it: the high tones are like mashed potatoes. Vocals are annoying.
Every time my service is up for renewal I consider not extending but then I end up keeping it just for background noise. (I actually added internet radio to my account, which lets me play Sirius from my iPhone through Bluetooth. That sounds much better. Too bad the internet stream is 5 minutes delayed from the live signal.)
I am a big Pandora fan and it's way better than Sirius.

Go look at the % of return in the last 1-2 months. I'm not complaining.

X2.....I called to cancel. They offered $49.00 to extend it one year. I said no, I want to cancel. They then offered $39.00 for a one year extension. I accepted. In 10 months, I will call and cancel again.....

Stern has made millions off of them. I don't think he's been "screwed".

I live in a smaller town and our radio stations are transmitted from a larger town 30 miles away which is just enough distance to cause a lot of interference, so Sirius is a good thing for me especially since I despise local radio adds and local radio personalities who THINK they are funny and that I actually want to hear thier BS.
so yea I like the sat radio
