Simple, seemingly stupid question
Where do you guys and gals put your coins in a 2011 Mustang?
I use the cup holder for... get this... cups. So I'm looking for some place CONVENIENT to keep coins. Change from (or for) the drive-up window, tolls, etc.
Any good ideas? I've always just used the ashtray or cup holder.
TIA!

I would use the compartment behind the cupholders, if I was going to put change somewhere.
I've actually pulled out the rubber insert from the cupholder area (for access to the larger rear cupholder) and placed that rubber insert into the center console. I suppose those would make decent change holders, with the rubber and such to keep the noise down.

Ford forgot my car was supposed to be a Canadian car i guess...those little slots only work for coins as big as the quarter...no loonies or toonies fit. I end up just throwing them in the bottom of the compartment.

Oh, yeah, I just went back and looked myself. I didn't even notice those before, probably due to the lighting, they kinda lurk down there in the shadowy depths of the center console. Kinda oddly designed.
I'm more curious as to what that side panel is to the left of the jacks. All it is is a pop off cover, very easy to take off, and inside is... well, the inside of the car. It seems like a hole was put there for a reason.

Well, there's also a sweet *** pen holder and a lil clip to hold "CARDS" on the underside of the arm rest (the part that lifts up)... So many lurking amenities!!

I got a coin holder from an 2000+ Explorer and place it on top of the CD in the center console. The coin holder at the bottom of the console is a waste. Too hard to get to and in the dark I would never get the correct change. Of course the console light I instaled does make seeing ins the console possible now.

For us vert owners, the armrest compartment is the only secure place in the passenger area to keep a gun. It is so damned hard to lock and unlock, that it isn't a convenient place to keep anything else.

The coin holder is a joke. Difficult to access, and IIRC, the quarter slot can only hold 4 quarters. That will get me 1 hour on meters, or part of the way down a stretch of toll road. A proper coin holder would hold a full $10 in quarters. I'm currently considering mods to hold more coins.
Yeah, yeah, laugh at me if you wish. My mods so far include custom door sills and removing a rear headrest, and now I'm considering a coin holder mod. lol.
