Funny we shipped or cars on the same day and have the same arrival time in opposite directions. Mine should be ready for pickup on Tuesday in Baltimore.

My ship arrived yesterday.

Ha ha nice. Good luck to you. Hopefully there won't be anything to claim on either end.

Hi Stevedotmill..

sorry , that site is not available in English... you just can use the translator. When it´s time for your trip to nurburg... tell me, may be we can make a meeting on the race track or on the way to there..

Greetz..

I'm a little frustrated lately but there's really nothing I can do about it at the moment. It has been snowing since last night and we had almost 5" just today so far and it's almost 3 PM. If the weather doesn't let up this week and melt some of this stuff away it looks like I won't get my car until the end of next month because I won't be around to get it. Oh well. Now at least I know what it feels like to be without her for the crappy weather. The difference being that she isn't sitting in my garage for me to look at every day.

Good luck with picking her up. I was able to get mine a few days ago now in Baltimore. Will you consider investing in winter tires/wheels? I was able to drive up the big hill from Amberg to Vilsec and often passed front wheel drive cars struggling with summer tires. A very weird scene sometimes. I always (after 1995) had winter tires and had very few if any problems even in deep snow in your area. The tires made the difference between being stuck in my driveway or able to safely drive at 40 MPH (key word safe and conditions considered).

I just found local insurance for the Mistress. I am saving $100 per month by not using USAA who has been stellar thus far with this exception. I am going to go pick my car up this afternoon in a few hours and should be back on the road with that smile I get when I mash the little pedal once again. (slow clap)

I found a Military Car Sales place just off post in Vilseck that does insurance too that I was referred to by a buddy. The coverage is better although the deductible for Liability is 800euro and 500euro for collision. 87 euro a month. I'm stoked. I just picked my car up today and have temp tags on her till next month. I just have to get my car inspected and then I'm good to get permanent tags. I filled up the tank and spent $52 doing that. She's sitting in the parking lot near my building waiting for the weather to warm up. There were only a couple things that I claimed. One small (1/2" scratch) on the edge of my front bumper which can be buffed out easily. One gouge that looked like someone tried to pry my tinted side marker out of my bumper cover on the passenger rear side (not really noticeable). They cut me a check for $400 right on the spot so now I'm debating what to do with the loot. Woot!!

I might be able to drive her this weekend a little if it dries up but other than this she will sit for a while. By the time I drive her again the weather should be much warmer. Hopefully anyway. I am glad that I got to pick her up. The inspector guy commented on how clean my car was. I told him that there is enough glaze, sealant, and wax on her to last a couple of years. The bracket I bought for the front plate is money well spent too.

If I don't get a used set of Bassani cans I'm looking into I think I'm going to go go ahead and order the Barton shifter and two post bracket or the GT500 mufflers and a shift ****.

Probably going to wait until after I move to do any mods. Just picked up a few things for my bike, hope to get them installed today. Still thinking of doing the Steeda CAI and iTSX before I move.

I think that the first engine mods I will do is the Boss intake, CAI from Steeda and a tune from them too. If you decide to do that tuner let me know where you got it from and how you like it.

So I have been driving around the German countryside for the last week or so back and forth and I have really enjoyed it. I haven't gotten on it much as it's still quite cold out and I can't seem to get the Pirelli's to hook. Once the weather gets above 50 I will see what happens.

I did get my car inspected today and the inspector was quite impressed with the car as it's the 13' model year. He asked me a bunch of questions and was satisfied with the answers. He spent all of 5 minutes actually going over the car. Got the permanent German plates today too. Now I'm legal for a year. He did ask me if the exhaust is stock, which it is, and was giving me the look like he wasn't sure though. I have noticed that the mufflers have broken in and are a nice tone now. Turns out the guy that works up in the plates office drives the 12' GB 5.0 with Flowmaster Outlaw AB cans. Good day today. Now if I can just convince someone upstairs to make the weather cooperate that would be grand.
