Seats

I've driven the Taurus for a couple days recently and then got in the Mustang this afternoon... and wow... Taurus quality seats would make the Mustang just that much better. I think the seats are functionally comfortable (and they remind me of my '08 Fusion)... but wow... what a difference. I have the mini-perf leather seats. Do the other leather seats 'sit' the same, or are they padded differently?

I have the Brick with Cashmere stripe seats, whatever package that is, and love the seats. In fact, today I drove our MKZ to the post office. I hadn't driven it for 3 weeks, since getting the 'stang. By the time I got home about a half hour later, my back was killing me. I find the 'stang seats really great, which surprises me since I'm such a big guy. I just wish they had the cooling feature like the Lincoln, and power backrest.

My Dad bought a 2010 Taurus Limited a few months ago. My V-6 premium seats feel just as good to me. Took my Dad on a 150 mile round trip a couple weeks ago, he told me the Mustang's seats feel 'almost' as good as the seats on his Taurus.

I'm sure a lot has to do with the shape and size of each persons hind quarters...

I was surprised at the comfort of the Mustang seats... but they seem to 'bottom out'. I'm big, but not huge. Lots more 'seat' in the Taurus.

I'm just 5'9" and 145 lbs. The seats are larger in the Taurus but feel about the same to me but i can understand what you are saying. I fit nice in most of the cars ever made LOL!!!

I put 3,000 miles on mine in 3 weeks. I love the seats. With a 400+ mile stretch between fill ups, the seats were never an issue.

There's only about an inch of padding in the bottom of the seat and I bottem out too. Ford could spend a little more money on the seats. In the 2005 Mustang with fabric interior I could feel the front of the seat frame under my leg a little after the foam settles a little. The lack of seat foam and the non-telescoping wheel are my biggest criticisms of the car.

I never cared too much for the seats in my 2003, and it seemed on long trips my back/neck would start to hurt no matter how I adjusted them, can't wait to try out some new seats woot

I feel your pain. SN95 seats are NOT the business. Minus the 03-04 Cobra seats of course. My car will eventually get some Corbeau GTSIIs. The 2010 I drove had pretty comfortable seats though. I'm 5'10", 165 so I fit nicely in most cars anyway.
