Seat Belt Discomfort
Seat Belt Discomfort
Was wondering if anyone else finds the seatbelt cuts into their neck? Was THIS close to buying a 2011 GT today but during the test drive no amount of seat adjustment made the belt comfortable.

Don't the dealers give you a pad or extender for free if you ask for it? I remember hearing when the 05's came out that you could get something to help this. KC talked about it here, I'll see if I can find the thread.

This is another area the coupe is superior to the ‘vert, which begins the seat belt below seat back level, with no other routing gizmo – it just comes over the seat back and onto your shoulder. The coupe at least starts the belt up higher, so at least you have geometry on your side. This is an irritant to me, but not a deal-breaker.
I don't have any issues with it (I am tall and sit relatively high in the car so it rides low on my shoulder) but my wife complains about it all the time (she is shorter so it rides high on her neck)
It seems like the extender might be the cure if you want it to ride higher (for a tall person), or the pad would help make it more comfortable on your neck if it rides too high (for a short person).

I have found the belt in my 2011 to be very comfortable. I'm 44 and have almost never worn a seat bealt. It was the comfort from the belt in the new car that got me to wear it all the time now.
I'm comfortable with mine, but I agree they should have been height adjustable for shorter people. Furthermore, when are we going to get four-point belts? http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/saf...4/article.html
