Scratched Brembo wheels...
Ha, so it finally happened. I normally park my car at the edge of the parking lot so there's only one car on the other side. The car was parked about one inch off the curb. Perfect! Or so I thought. Pulling out of the parking space and making a turn, my rear tire clipped the corner edge of the curb. And this me being cognisant delaying the turn-in to make sure I had pulled out far enough to clear the rears. Apparently not enough.
Well, lesson learned for sure, and more reason to be extra careful. The sound of grinding the wheel was horrible, and I hope none of you have to go through what I did!
I plan on taking it to a wheel specialist later this week. I'm in the Seattle area and will have these guys take a look. My concern is whether they have or can locate the matching gun metal/dark steel paint.

Fire 512...Check with your dealer's body shop. They may be able to help. Back in 2005 I had a Chrysler Crossfire and Chrysler sold small bottles of touch up paint for the wheels, and it was a perfect match.

Good idea I'll defiantly give it a try. I just don't have a lot of confidence in the dealer. No offense to anyone who works at the dealer but the people on this forum seem to know way more about these cars than anyone who I've come in contact with at the dealer.

Update!
Update! I finally had the chance to schedule service with Alloy Wheel Repair folks here in Seattle.
I must say...the end result is astonishing. They've done such a superb job that I cannot tell where the original gouge existed. Color match is perfect. Literally it's as good as, if not better, than brand new rims.
Apologies for the crappy cell phone shots, but I think the pictures speak for themselves:
Close-up. The faint white streak you see on the bottom part of the flange is actually a reflection and not a blemish
The paint process was quite interesting as well. And no, this is no touch-up job. After the original paint has been stripped and dings repaired, the rim was first painted in black, followed by couple of light layers of silver. The black undercoat shows through the silver layer which results in a deep, gun-metal finish. Once color matched, he finished it off with two layers of clear coat.
While it wasn't cheap by any means ($150+tax), it was well worth the price of admission. It certainly beats paying $400+ for a new rim! The folks working there were super nice and clearly pride themselves in their workmanship.

Fire512,
Work was done by Alloy Wheel Repair. They're a franchise shop. While each franchisee is required to use franchise spec'd paint and repair process, at the end of the day it's the technician doing the actual work. I would still check your local community sites or region-specific Yelp! feedbacks to make sure they do quality work.

Well, unfortunately I have to say that I'll join the club of the "Curb Rash Members"! Darn, I could have kicked myself in the #$$... backed into a pretty hight curb today with the right rear wheel. Although the damage is only to the outer edge of the rim, it is definitely noticable to me... not as much when you stand a bit further away from the car... but it bugs the heck out of me!
Checked online, and if I'm readin this right, Ford is actually asking $ 722.20 for a single wheel to replace??!!! What the heck! I just can't believe it! If I'm correct, the Brembo wheel is part # 1007D.

Now, while browsing around for other solutions, I came across the Black Track Pack Wheels, which I believe are exactly the same wheel as the Brembo wheel (same size as well 19x9), except of the color.
I found them on BlueOvalIndustries for about $ 214/each, including free shipping... Here's the link:

Don't you think these are the same as the Brembo wheels?
Ford Racing is offering the same wheel on their website as well, described as 2011 Mustang GT Black Track Pack Wheel.
Of course I was also looking into the RTR Wheels (which I LOVE!), but due to the size, I'll have to get new tires as well... and I'll only have 3700 miles on mine right now!
Any other thoughts!?

Andy,
A couple of quick items in reply to your dilemma:
1. Don't panic!
2. The black FRPP wheels are the same except for the paint job. FRPP has been selling OEM wheels with slight changes at very good prices for a while now. Their deals on wheels are excellent.
3. Fix the wheel yourself or have it done professionally. You know there are going to be more wheel scratches in your future, don't you? It happens. A little fine sand paper and some touch paint will do the job.
4. Call your dealer and a few others and get their price for a replacement wheel. Your salesman & dealer may cut you a good deal if you just have to have a new wheel. The mark-up on accessories at the parts counter is considerable. No one will miss a meal if they give you a good deal.
HTH...ned.

I feel for ya. Same thing happened to me lately, and all I could do is look at my wheel and stare with my mouth hanging open.
I don't understand why the black track pack ones and the stock brembo ones are such a price difference. Just for different paint?
Lemme know if you want to go half-sies on the 4 set for sale in the other thread!

Thanks guys! I greatly appreciate your thoughts and help...
I'll have to work this weekend, but when I get a second, I'll check some more for local wheel repair specialists. Only had a few minutes to check online, but didn't come up with any good results.
I'm very particular and "picky" when it comes to cars, so even though it is not obvious to notice, I know the defect is there... which bugs the heck out of me! Like the OP, I'm very careful when parking or cornering, but I guess I must have just spaced out on that one.
I was actually thinking about dark colored wheels right from the beginning, but not a lot was available. By now, it seems there are a ton of dark aftermarket wheels. I actually like the style of the Brembo wheels! And with the FRPP wheels, it is 100% certain, that it will clear the Brembo brakes, another big plus. And I can use my tires I currently have on.
Leaning towards getting 4 Black FRPP Track wheels, and then take the one Brembo OEM wheel to a local repair shop to get it fixed...
We'll see...

I need that exact same wheel in an 18" that will clear the Brembo brakes for the track. Does it exist?????
