Scheduled for week of 5/17!

I just placed my order last Wednesday, and I am already scheduled for the week of 5/17! This seems awfully fast to me. I wonder if it has something to do with the options I picked? Of course, there's always the possibility that my production date will get bumped. But I'm trying to stay positive. For now, I'm riding high!

Wow, that is lucky. I ordered mine in mid-April and don't yet have a build date, just a VIN#. Barring a minor disaster like Ford angering the volcano gods again I don't think build dates usually get bumped. If they do, probably just a day. Now if you're really lucky you'll have yours by the end of the month/beginning of June. Just in time for the good parts of summer.

I'm betting it's because the newly ordered cars don't have to sit in a lot for two weeks just to be released from plant.

interesting . . . this means delivery by mid-June might be feasible . . . any guesses how long it takes after production to delivery?

(during normal circumstances when they aren't sitting in the lot for weeks, of course!)

Seriously? I ordered a week before you and I've gotten nothing yet.

That deal you got doesn't seem so good now, does it, Jokerstars?

Call me paranoid (you wouldn't be the first) but I think dealers are collecting orders and submitting them in batches because there's some kind of extra incentive/kickback for greater quantities ordered at one time.

Congrats! That's very close to what I'm getting. I'm just waiting for it to show up!

Ford HQ said they received my order on 4/12. I don't think my dealer waited. That was the very day I ordered from him.

The big difference between our orders is that yours is V6 manual while mine is V8 manual. Has anyone received a v6 manual yet?

As for dealer, my dealer is pretty high volume- among the highest in the south east. Maybe that makes a difference. They put my order in as I sat there. It was Wednesday, which is the day they always transmit their orders to Ford (according to them). My VIN appears on a order status printout from 4/29- the very next day.
