Satellite view of Flat Rock

Cool view, makes me feel better about my stock order. Doesn't look like they "bury" cars so bad they couldn't get the stock ones out to ship - if they wanted to. My dealer assures me he can get my stock GT shipped as soon as they release them, we'll see if he earns my business back or not.

Cool, but how do we know this image was captured within the last month? Usually there is a delay of anwhere from a few months to a year before updated imagery makes its way on to the google maps website.

don't know when it was taken. But my wishful thinking I guess, I had just envisioned a parking lot where there were cars buried 50 cars deep, and it doesn't really look like it's setup that way. I'm hoping for the best, and if not I guess I'll have to cancel my order and get it from a dealer who doesn't change retail orders to stock orders. At this point I just figured that if I did that it would be even longer till I got it.

In fact it looks like last year seeing as though the is a lot of green on the trees.

That's pretty cool, you can even see the GT500's and the GT's with the racing stripes. I'd guess that pic is a couple years old because there's many cars that are there that are Grabber Orange.

Are all those cars that look white, actually white or are they covered with that protective sheeting they put on the cars before transport?

I wonder how long it takes for the Ford dealer that is across the road from the plant to get cars from the plant...

I think the "bing.com" map is more up to date, and the birds eye view shows large groups of cars that are stacked 15 deep... (There are no Grabber orange cars either) Don't hold your breath about getting it soon after released for sale.

I see quite a bit of black cars or trucks as well. Whatever they assembled over there besides Mustang's.

So a lot of people like black cars still. No thanks, i've had 2 LX 5.0's and could never get them shining the way i wanted them to. But a **** nice color when the sun goes down. Can't beat it.
But i'll tell 'ya, those spider webs would show everytime, even though my paint finish was flawless. Sterling would probably my choice this time since they don't make them in Acapulco blue anymore.

If you view it from Google Earth, it gives the date as June 2007.

Also, they have a new feature where you can drag a slider to "go back in time" and view older shots of the same area.

They use the AAI facility as a port for Mazdas and some Fords. There are Escapes, F150s, etc. all in those lots. Last I heard, the test track is rarely used, they do most of the testing at the DDC in Dearborn.

And, if you buy a Mustang at Crest (across Gibraltar Rd.) Ford, you still pay delivery. LOL.
