Same Transmission - Why different fill levels?

So the MT-82 is used for both the V-8 and V-6 models. I was looking through the Owner's Manual and noticed the that the fluid levels are different depending on the engine (page 301). Anyone know why?

Maybe the same reason it has a section on caring for your King Ranch seats:

LEATHER SEATS FOR THE KING RANCH EDITION ONLY
(IF EQUIPPED)
Your vehicle is equipped with seating covered in premium, top-grain
leather which is extremely durable, but still requires special care and
maintenance in order to ensure longevity and comfort.
Regular cleaning and conditioning will maintain the appearance of the
leather.

Fortunately I skipped over that part. At first I thought it was because the V-8 MT-82 has the solenoid for the skip shift feature while the V-6 tranny does not, but the fill levels are opposite of what you'd expect - it's lower for the V-8 than the V-6. Wouldn't it be hilarious if all the transmission problems are due to not putting enough fluid in to start with?

That would be great but the V6 and V8 MT82s have the same problem. Maybe its a Goldilocks thing and they both need an amount in between.
