I know some of you don't like to use the boot when your top is down. I prefer the boot because it cleans up the appearance despite it being a PITA to install.

Anyway, I saw an '07 Shelby GT/SC yesterday that had this replacement boot. It's vinyl but looks like leather and is much nicer than the nylon boot that comes with the GT Premium.

You can even select the color of stitching, or get one with an embroidered Shelby logo.

I'm strongly considering getting this. I have the 401A Black/Cashmere striped interior, and of course the seats have white stitching.

What do you think would look better....an all black replacement boot, or one with white stitching to match the interior?

It does look decent... Not something I would get (I am in the "I don't use my boot often" camp), but still nice...

I'd say if you're wanting to get one, the white stitching would look cool.

I like (Ok like is not the right word) putting the boot on. Even though it's less of an issue on the newer cars I put it on my 2000 GT as much as possible to spare the liner from fading and getting dirty.

Anyway I think it will look pretty good if it had color stitching.

I've had ragtops now for maybe fifteen plus years and I'll never buy another car without a drop top.

I'm the reverse... had a ragtop for 15 years on a British roadster. Blew my hair clean off! Coupe only for me.

Boots are great. No stitching.

Unfortunately the boots only seem to be available in black. That would look pretty tacky on my Ruby Red vert with stone top and interior.

They're available in black, red, saddle and white which is odd. I'm surprised that stone isn't available.

I am also a convertible guy, and I think that boot with the white stitching would look awesome. I may consider buying this boot as well.

I'd pay a little extra and get an OEM Ford boot.

I am not a fan of boots personally. But i would go with black stitching on black boot if i wanted one.

Based on that pic I'd have to agree. But the one I saw installed on the Shelby GT/SC looked very nice. I'm sure the warmth of the sun irons it out a bit.

The factory nylon boot is OK, but can get a little lumpy looking too. And compared with the vinyl faux-leather aftermarket, it looks a little cheap.

I plan on ordering one...just agonizing about choosing black or white stitching.
