Royal purple transmission fluid

When it's time to change my tranny fluid (I think is around 40-50k) kms I was thinking of switching to Royal Purple tranny fluid...I switched my engine oil to RP and Love it....I have tried to find decent threads on here about it but no such luck one guy said you will never notice a difference...everything else I have read praises RP tranny fluid....anyone out there have some advice

I put RP in my tranny at 29k and it shifts far more smoothly now, have had less issues out of it. I would highly recommend it!!

Because of the mt82 issues it's never too early but ford recommends 60k, like I said I did mine at 29, I say do it now

If there's one thing that's been discussed on here in enough detail (along with oil weights), it's the MT-82 transmission. It came out in 2011 and is used in all V6 and GT manual cars since. Search for MT-82 and you'll find more than you can read in a week on here.

Is there a service interval for tranny fluid? Not debating that the oem fluid is best, I just thought it was advertised as a lifetime fluid that never needs serviced

Your owners manual will provide this.

Okay, sleep better (Found on Fords site) for a 2011 Mustang V6:

Every 20K , 60K, 100K, 120K, 140K - Replace cabin air filter
Every 30K, 60K, 90K, 120K, 150K - Replace engine air filter
Every 100K, 120K, 140K - Inspect accessory drive belt(s)
Every 100K, 150K - Change orange coolant
Every 100K - Replace Platinum spark plugs (6 cyl. platinum)
Every 150K - Replace accessory drive belt(s) if not replaced within last 100K
Every 150K - Change automatic transmission/transaxle fluid and filter

I've never used royal purple trans fluid, but have heard great things from some mustang friends here in Phoenix.
