Roll bar is in - pics included

Got my Watson 4-point roll bar installed today. About 4.5 hours install time, plus a little more to get my rear seat delete adjusted tomorrow to accomodate the rear bars. Looks really good, and if I had to do it again, I'd only make a few adjustments.

Harnesses have started going in as well, just need a bit more hardware. Getting very ready for the track season!!

Bolts put in order for re-install of the gussets (different lengths)

Clearance hole for nut plate

Gusset with nut plates installed

Bar is in!!

That looks awesome. I'd do the same if my kiddo didn't love riding in my car so much. Maybe I can do it when he gets big enough to sit in the front seat.

Looks awesome, and it may save your life one day at the track. Good mod since you track it so much

Finished the modified rear seat delete to finish off the interior. Started getting the harness mounting points installed as well. Need a couple brackets to support finishing that though. Project for this week

And of course one of the car in track shoes

It can bolt in or be welded in. I opted to bolt in - utilizes the Ford gussets, very solid install

Thanks - mainly I put it in for functionality (safety for track days, harness mounting)

Suggest checking why a part is installed before judging... this is probably one of the most needed mods for me given what I do with the car. Safety first, and being locked into the seat with 6-points (and HANS of course) helps reduce fatigue at the track, leaving me with more energy to concentrate on going faster

For anyone interested, a little "justification" for why I did the roll bar and harnesses:

I hope I never need it for being a roll bar, hopefully it's only ever utilized as a nice solid harness mount. But nice security blanket for my occasional track days

That's the plan - can't wait to get my other harness on Monday...

Does it satisfy NHRA requirements for a 10 second car? How much does it weigh?

Probably does not meet NHRA requirements. I use it for road racing.

Weight I beleive is just over 60 lbs. not bad considering the rear seat delete shed a bunch of weight
