Rim/tire size input needed, please
Sorry, (not sorry) for bringing this thread back to life after a month because fromZto5's car needs to be displayed! That combo is the best I have seen on a 5.0 to date.
I am glad I found this thread...I am considering the Niche's and have been trolling google for tire fitment and other possible wheel options.
The Niche Milans look absolutely STUNNING on your car Zto5! If I had a Kona car they would be ordered. I have a 2012 black GT and am leaning more toward a black wheel (although the Milans are definitely on the table as an option).
I was originally set on the Niche GT5 (as seen here) http://www.nicheroadwheels.com/gt-5-m133--w-5021.htm
I then found the STR 607 (as seen here), note the appearance of a flaw in the finish by the lug hole on the top spoke, which concerns me about quality/finish of these wheels.
http://www.str-racing.com/products-p...7-matte-black/
The STR are visually at the top of my list, if I can find them. So far I have only found them in 18/19 in matte black or the matte gunmetal in 20's (I have a few emails out waiting for a response). They are available in only 20mm/40mm so it would have to be the 40mm option.
I am not a fan of the 285/30/20 tire most every wheel site is trying to package with its wheel combos as its only 26.7 height and a 3.37 side wall. I am gunning for the Nitto Invo in 295/35/20 28.1 height and 4.1 side wall to A) help fill out the wheel well, B) Protect the wheel against pot holes, C) improve ride quality once lowered 1-1.5 inches. I will run either 255 or 275 front.
I originally wanted to run a 315/35/20 but I do NOT want the tire to stick out past the fender and judging by the pics on here the 295 nitto is as wide as I want to go on a 40 offset. I am also trying to avoid rubbing as much as possible as my old SVT focus would rub and it drove me bonkers.
Anyone know anything about STR?
Any thoughts on the Milans on a black 5.0?

Spring will be here soon enough.I attached my 2 fave pics of the above. I love that angle.
As for the wheel weight, I could have sworn I asked that when I talked to MHT directly... but I don't recall. Weight will still be slightly more than a forged rim, but less than your typical other rims.
Your STR pic/link just looks "ok" to me. Not a fan of black rims, so they are skewing my opinions of them.

Haha ... that's one of my MAIN criteria when I look at rims ... ease of cleanliness.
And the top reason why I'll never buy rims with exposed "rivets" or bolt heads around the outside, like so many rims seem to be "blessed" with

So Gabe, did you copy, errr, buy those rims yet?
haha kidding man.... How's the blower install going??? You're not just letting it sit in your garage getting cold, are you?
LOL... those are definite perks. But for me, you guys know I LOVE detailing my car, so the harder the work, the better. Sick, I know

Folks... I dug up my Milans again in my basement and did a test fit of my new hub rings and they fit fine. But after admiring my rims again LOL, I noticed that I have two stems of some sort. One of them is obviously the air valve stem, as I actually unscrewed the cap and checked...
But what's the other stem for? The only thing I can think of is its TPMS, but I always thought TPMS was right behind the air valve stem? Is it because the sidewalls are too thin so they have to mount the TPMS separate? Pardon me for this dumb question but I've never seen this before.
Edit: I just love how wide these suckers are... Cannot wait to get them on the car for real

No since they're not on the car yet... I can probably start to do that soon when it warms up.
Im worried tho, that the orotek sensors in my new wheels are "sleeping", since I stored them in the basement for 3 months. I heard that when they sleep, you have to deflate them for 15 minutes, then inflate, then they start emitting again. Anyone heard of this for the oroteks? Bizarre. I figured they would keep emitting.
My buddy has the ford programming tool, so that's good. I just have to get the car into relearn mode.

Ugh... I found this post on svtperformance. Wonderful, now I have to do this crap. Why did orotek design their TPMS sensors that way???? If it's only on for an hour, then anyone who orders wheels with TPMS shipped will always have to do this. Wow that is just dumb...
"......just installed 2012 SVT PP wheels on my 2007 with valve stem TPMS sensors purchased from American Muscle; the sensors are manufactured by Oro-Tek. I managed to successfully train the sensors after installing the wheels. My tires were inflated weeks ago when I had the sensors installed and wheels balanced. I learned that once the tires are inflated you have only one hour to train the sensors, otherwise the sensors go to sleep. In order to wake them up, I had to deflate the tires, wait 5 minutes and then re-inflate before installing the wheels and training the sensors (applies to all orotek sensors)..."

Looking back, I am not sure if I could've requested ford oem TPMS with my set. Perhaps I should've requested them. I was under the (wrong) impression that all TPMS sensors learned/woke up the same way. I was unaware of this deflate/inflate thing. IMO, that's a stupid design by orotek. Why not just leave them transmitting as soon as they're mounted to a tire set??? They all go for 10 years 150k miles anyways...
Jay, NOW you sell them
. Lol... Hindsight is 20/20? Hehe. I would've bought them from you guys...
Hey on a side note, have you heard of these stupid orotek sensors and how to wake them up?
