return to factory tune?

return to factory tune?
I am taking my GT to the dealer tomorrow for an oil change and wheel alignment. I also have the Bama race tune in it. Do I have to return it to factory tune before taking it to the dealer?

I wouldn't waste you time. 1. It's just an oil change and they won't be looking at the ECM calibration. 2. Even if they did and you had some warranty claim, Ford can tell if the ECM has ever been flashed and had a custom tune installed on it.

They may or may not plug into your car...you never know. Sometimes they routinely check in case there is a minor factory update required.
I used to have the service writer mark the ticket "Do not reflash" and I put tape over the plug with same writing on it. You can also buy a plug in cap that says the same.
And yes, it is my understanding things can go fubar if they just overwrite your tune...heck if you have a CAI then it likely would not even run right with a factory program.
Anyway...I just prefer not to take a chance. The whole warranty thing is not a concern to me, I'm not trying to hide anything.

For that type of work, don't worry about it. If anything, just let them know when you drop it off, that all you want/need is an oil change and alignment done. I can't imagine there would be any SW/ECM recalibration recalls that they'd need to get in there. Do get a plug though that says don't reflash. I got one with my Maggie kit. (not that I'd ever take mine to a dealer).

Oh trust me I wasn't hatin on it TJ. If people want the Steeda cover they should absolutely get one. I have no problem spending money on parts or aspects for my Mustang that others would surely consider a waste of money and not the way they would go but that's the beauty of life.

It's a piece of laser engraved, anodized, machined aluminum. If you want to spend $5 get the injection molded plastic ones.
Some people prefer the anodized aluminum, for a variety of reasons. If looks aren't important then a cheaper piece would be more in line with you...

I figured after spending money on a supercharger, driveshaft, and a dyno run, $20 was insignificant - 1/2 a tank of gas. Just my opinion. Bottom line is spend money on what makes you happy.
