When during the 14 MY did Ford stop using Grabber Blue?

 

When I ordered mine during December of 2013, grabber blue was already discountinued!

 

I ordered mine in June 2014 and Grabber Blue was not available.

Grabber Blue was shown as deleted in the October 2013 order guide for 2014. So only very early 2014s (March through October of 2013 or so) had it available.

 

Funny thing is, very recent Ford commercials showing the '15 models featured a '14 convertible... in Grabber Blue! Bad enough they didn't have footage of an S550, but to show it in the long since discontinued color? SMH.

 

According to Ford's inventory search, there's a GB '14 GT Premium 'Vert with 6M and 401A interior still available in the Connecticut area.

 

Yeah, Grabber Blue was my first choice but it was off their website in May 2014 when I started configuring mine and figuring out what options I did NOT want (specifically the NAV package).

I was disappointed until I saw SGM on the lot, then I wasn't so disappointed anymore.

 

I had a Grabber Blue with me on a weekend long extended test drive because I wasn't sure I wanted it or not. Ended up deciding I didn't think I would still like the color in a year, so went with race red instead. It is pretty though.
