Yes, very shortsighted. The car gets decent gas mileage in both V6 and GT trim and I am sure the new motors for next year will improve on those numbers. If they can get the V6 into the 30s on mpg, they will have a gold mine. I think I did read in one of the articles that the '10 will have less drag than the '05-'09 so its possible we can see a little better highway gas mileage. Not sure why she brings up safety. The '09 received 5-star crash test ratings on every test and the '10 will automatically dial 911 for you if you have SYNC linked with your cell phone. On a final note, there are some of us that actually like driving and cars and don't simply see them as utilitarian.

 

I think by "safety issues" she probably means having cars on the road with some real power, and hence, speed. To these Volvo/Prius-driving hippy den mothers, speed is unsafe.

She should go back to braiding her armpits.

Yeah, I agree, when I have a chance I'm gonna write a letter. BTW, everyone else who is writing, try not to resort to calling her a dumb "c," which is what I really want to do... but it will only make her and her associates filter/ignore the e-mail as flames and ignore any useful facts (sales figures, facts about 05-09 profit margins, etc).

Judging from her distaste for Mustangs and utter disregard for reality, I have a feeling she is just another Prius driver that got cut off by a Mustang on the road. Why doesn't she mention the Camaro or the Challenger?
