Great work, it looks really clean. I've been wanting to get it done on both of mine.

The 5.0 logo is a nice touch.

Thanks for giving a more exact weight. I was going off my '02 Bullitt rear seat which I did weigh, and the S197 seat is of similar design and construction, so I knew it would be a lot closer to 40 lbs than 10 or 20 lbs.

For your future mods, would you be thinking about a passenger seat delete.

Im sure if you pulled the shoulder reels it would push 40. So after delete you should still clear 20-30 and with full exhaust like ARheaders, off road x and back u could get close to 50-60lbs??? I forgot to weigh stock compared to my comp Magnaflows but the stock was heavier for sure. Hey 100 or so more and I can make up the difference between me and a "normal" sized man LMAO

ETA 50-60 total not just the exhaust.

I never understand this view, but to each his own I guess.

We just took a 550 mile trip in our '11 GT today... me/wife and our 7 and 9 year old kids, plus a trunk full of enough luggage and kids toys to last for 5 days.

I wouldn't do that with full grown adults in the back seat, but the kids still have a few years to go before they'd outgrow it, and it's nice to be able to take the fun car on the family trip.

Anyway, your rear seat delete looks nicely done. I'd be tempted to do something like that if I truly had no use for the backseat, too.

This mirrors my viewpoint as well. Our kids are 6 and 7 years old, and love riding along in the back seat of the Mustang, and they fit just fine. About the only adult I stick back there is a friend of mine occasionally if there are three of us in the car, as he is only 5'8" or so (5" shorter than me).

Frankly if I thought the rear seat was totally useless to me, I'd own a Viper or C6 Corvette instead.

I like it. It's nice, clean, and well done. I would put a bunch of subs back there if I were to do it. On the other hand I have a big dog and I drive my SUV when he comes along. With this I can take him in the Stang and it would be more comfortable for him.
