Rear Lifting Points

This topic has probably already been covered... But for the first time yesterday I was laying on my back in my garage exploring the underside of the new car. My question is for those who use a lift when they work on their vehicles. I am assuming everyone just uses the rear pinch weld to lift the vehicle since there is no where else at all to do so. What have you used to prevent the metal hoist arms from scratching the painted rocker panels and pinch weld area? Was thinking of taking some card board and wrapping it with painters tape to make a cushion between the hoist arm and pinch weld but am searching for alternate ideas! Thanks

I saw this picture posted awhile back and saved it to my PC. I think it might help with this topic.

That is a good picture... And I think our lifts use to have plastic covers to put on over the metal arms... Have just been lost/broken over the years. Will find a suitable fix I am sure. Thanks guys!
