Is this real? 2014 302 Boss "S"
I didn't think they were building the Boss 302 in 2014. According to this ad on eBay (not always the most reliable source of information), it appears Ford is building 40 this year?

It would appear that it is just a Racing build, similar to the COPO Camaro in that it does not have a VIN# just a serial #, and more than likely was ordered on a Part# through Ford Racing.

They have built them each year since 2010, these cars were the first to get the Coyote motor, before they went into production for the street cars.
Can you believe that at the current bid of $100 that the reserve hasn't been met???

Sure $500 down and $200 a month for 47 years .... It's doable I think
Umm they Boss 302 S wasn't released until PRI on December 9, 2010 .... The only way I know that is because my car was built on December 6, 2010 ... Yet it is a 2012 Boss

As mentioned by others- this is produced by Ford Racing.
From the numbers, it looks like they do have the Boss 302 engine under the hood. Wonder what it would take to get that thing street legal and get a VIN assigned?

Why would you want to make that race car street legal?
And I doubt any state would issue a street title to it since it isn't certified as a street car by Ford, no emissions on it or any street safety equipment in it.
And I would expect the final bid will go up around 100K, be lots cheaper to buy a regular GT track pack and BOSS it out.

Probably EPA and DOT crash testing, and who knows what other red tape. Wonder if Miller Motorsports is going to sell the Boss Mustangs used for the Track Attack Racing event, or if they were on loan from Ford and they will be auctioned off by Ford?
Was a lot of fun driving on the track, then the hot lap with the pro driver, what a blast.

If you want to see them in action, check out the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge: http://www.imsa.com/series/sportscar-challenge
They're also used in the Trans Am series TA3 class.
