Rattle in Passenger door
Rattle in Passenger door
I have a 2013 Mustang V6 with the Shaker 500 system. I'm going to swap out the rear and upper door speakers eventually butt, before I do, I need to get rid of this rattle in my passenger door or it'll be for nothing. It seems to be coming from the window button/control. Whenever there's sustains bass from music it can rattle pretty loudly. Not sure how to go about fixing it. Suggestions?
Extra credit: good alternative speakers to Shaker speakers (not 8" door subs).

I have resolved many rattles in the Mustang using simple felt tape with one sticky side. Take things apart...add a bit and see what you get. Just have to experiment a bit. That door switch comes out pretty easy....I've had my door apart at least twice now to change out the 5 x 7 speakers (currently Pioneer, can't remember the p/n).
I have not tried to replace the Shaker subs, but a decent pair of $125 5 x 7 in the doors made a nice difference to me.

I had a thread about a door rattle recently. Mine was the bolts for the window regulator. One did not get tight from the factory and was causing the regulator to vidrate in the door frame. The door frame acted as a giant drum to amplify the sound. Just check all the bolts when you pull the panel off. Make sure they are all snug.

I've had a bad rattle in the passenger side door with the window down for almost a year now. This will be my "winter project" lol
