Rain!

God knows we need the rain... but it's days like this when I miss the white car. I just almost can't stand to see the lava red dirty. Especially when it was all cleaned up when I left for work this morning.

My bride thinks I'm out of my mind because I stayed out in the garage and dried it off so at least it'll be clean when I go out in the morning. Overheard a neighbor one time telling his buddy I was gonna wash the paint right off the black Taurus... but the dark colors look sooo good clean. Espeically the metallics.

Yeah, washed mine just a while ago and it rained hard right after but there were some spots of some kind of crap all over the hood and I had to get them cleaned off so I just washed the whole car.

May need to find someplace to stash my car at the end of the week if we get this hurricane coming our way...

We had a pretty intense thunderstorm in North Houston. I knew I would summon some rain when I washed my car a couple of days ago.

I saw the subject of this thread...and thought it was interesting.

Yes, we need rain too...

However, Marilyn never sees a drop of rain. Or overcast skies, for that matter

My last Mustang was a weekend toy, The new one is a daily. It has and will see rain and snow etc. The key is keeping her as clean as I possibly can.

I totally enjoy my Mustang clean, but it does get driven daily, and in all weather. I bought it to drive it, not to worry about some dirt or bugs getting on it. Every weekend it gets a good wash, a vacumn, and the leather gets it treatment of zymol. Then it's out for the drive it was intended for, all week long, and in sun or rain (no snow in Florida though).

Glad to hear some of you keep them in the garage while it rains. I'll be the one spinning out of your driveway or dealership in about 4 years when it's time for my purchase of a clean used vehicle (I avoid buying new; hate the instant depretiation).

be sure to do all the recommended maintenance please....I'm counting on that too!

Living in Tampa, FL we see our fair share of rain here.... and we have gotten plenty of it recently. My car is not a DD ( I abuse an Impala for that) but when I am not working it is my preferred driver regardless of the weather. When i had the Boss she did not come out of the garage unless the weather was perfect. I'm actually enjoying he 2013 a lot more than I did the 2012 Boss...

Bring on the rain or the sun because I feel like going for a drive

Long Island is the new Florida. Crazy intense storms that come and go in 20 min. Just with the humidity it doesn't dry up quick.

Simply put, it's the stuff that makes my car dirty... and I end up shaking my fist at the sky

Curses ye droplets of rain...cast ye demons from the sky.

In about 4 more months, this rain will be snow for some of you...get out and drive in the rain while you can!

This is true!!

Unless NY gets another winter like last year. We had 1 snowstorm where we actually had accumulation And it was like 1 inch. Gone by noon. Maybe we will have another winter like that.

Yep. When the ice melts from the polar caps, my house in Central Florida may be beach front, or under water. At least for awhile it would be beach front.

Then I'll have to apply rust proofing on the undercarrage of my Mustang....sigh....
