Quit the Cryin'
All you hear if you look at a few sites is how the Mustang is unimpressive. Give me a break. Ford has givin us everything we have been moaning about for years and everyone is still moaning. I guess a mass produced affordable 12 sec car is not enough. They gave you a more aggressive appearance, hips, excellent interior, better suspension, 6 spd, Brembo brakes and better wheel selections and everyone is still whining. Say thank you Ford for listing to us and giving us the best GT to date.

this is not even aimed at those who are enduring the delays but those who test drive these cars and cry about the lack of torque or what ever there gripe is. I guess we should have just stuck with the 315hp 4.6 for another 3-4 yrs.

I know my wait has only just begun for mine, but I am a long time mustang owner and always will be so it's going to be worth however long it takes!

You better read some more threads. Several on this board and on a few others are crying about the lack of torque and 5.0 is less than impressive.

I know.
But you better be driving a Bugatti Veryon to think 404 lb/ft is "lacking torque".
The numbers don't lie. If you only care about the seat of the pants feel just buy a diesel truck and get 1,000 lb/ft of torque.

That's alright if lots of people are not impressed with the new Mustangs.
Let them go buy cumaro's and then let them really whine and moan when all they get to see is the Mustangs backside...

Lay off the poor guy, he's been harassed enough. I can't say myself, I haven't even seen a 5.0 yet, but I think it's just a mix of traction control and the interior. You just don't realize you're going that fast until you see the speedometer.

I did post a bothersome review of my first drive in a 5.0 convertible but I also listed several outside factors that runined my experience, which most members ignored. I did post an update a few days later after driving a hardtop, the results were like night and day.

I am impressed! Thus the reason I want one BAD!
I posted some numbers just for comparison in another thread just in case people wanted a slight reality check on the very high end competition this car has now muscled it's way into. I hope no one thought I was on the gripe side, I'm totally for the new "hoo-ride"

This car is just the complete car.
It can be called the Jekyll and Hyde car.
Anyone can cruise around being the low end torque is on the lower side and have no worries just accelerating from a stop. Exhaust and cabin quite. But the power is on tap when you need it. Hit the gas and the tires scream the exhaust comes to life and you your take off like a rocket.
The way the aftermarket is shaping up with just a few tests being done this car should be pushing over 400 rwhp with just bolt ons.
What else could you want in a street car?
