Quick question

Probably going to make me look/feel stupid but this is the first car Ive ever had with a strut brace. My cai came today, and it would seem i have to remove the engine cover. The strut brace happily prevents me from getting it off.

So my question, If i losen the bolts and take the brace off, this isnt gonna mess up my camber or anything is. Im definately not a suspension guru

No. The brace plays no role in alignment.

Watch out, take that brace off and the car may collapse in on itself...

Couldn't resist...

The stock brace only bolts to 2 places on each side.
The other 2 hold everything in place even if you remove the other 2.

Well, well, i just got my Steeda CAI today and was about to do the same thing this week-end. Has somebody removed the engine cover yet. Where does it bolt to ? Did a quick check but couldn't see anything holding it .

Watch out for the strut tower brace springs. If you loosen it up too quickly that thing could fly off.

Or not.

Ha, ha, ha. Actually we've already removed the tower brace for the installation of the springs, but we didn't remove the engine plastic cover as of yet. Just wondering before i tackle the job.

Engine cover is only held on by rubber plugs, u just grab one corner at a time and it pops up and smacks into the tower brace all Ike Turner 'ish
