Question on Shaker 1000

My 2011 California Special came with Shaker 1000, which is something I would not have ordered (HIDS would have been better), but, with that said, can I remove the Boom Box speaker in the trunk and not effect the operation of the system? Extra room in the trunk for trips would be worth it, if it's possible.

Thanks in advance for advice and yes, my flame suit is on

Yea, you just have to remove the 5-6 bolts holding it in and disconnect any wiring. I had to get mine replaced a few months back, and the dealer took it out in about 10 min.

You should also be able to sell it to anyone that has the Shaker500 system. It should wire right up.

The amp is seperate. It's bolted to the bracket that holds the sub box in place. I woulnd't imagine Ford running the wiring harness back there for the amp and sub if it wasn't an option either...
