I just traded my 2010 z for a 2012 5.0...I will be hanging on to this for a long time. Next up will be a shelby.

Yes, I worked up a trade-in deal for my 2011 GT 6mt vert when I decided I needed a 6at coupe (2012) instead. For my 11-month old 8500-mile Gt premium I got a trade offer of an even $30k. It had 19" nickels, comfort, security & 401A & had been 100% garaged & driven in rain maybe 4 or 5 times. Original MSRP was $41,100.

That was the dealer where I originally bought the car. Another Ford dealer wouldn't go over $27k. CarMax would only conjure up $24k!

That said, the hood + front fender + some front end plastic had been replaced due to a deer hit @ 2700 miles. All dealers knew, but only the $30k dealer didn't make a big deal out of it, so that's who I ordered my 2012 from. And as luck turns out, I ended up selling it outright at $31,500, before my 2012 arrived, & 1 year to the day from when I took original delivery.

Hope that was helpful.

PS - that was in May/June of 2011.

PPS - Re. the deer hit, the car was SO new when it happened that all genuine Ford parts were used (I was told) - no aftermarket crap. In my opinion the repair was excellently done and only an expert could tell. I disclosed everything to my buyer (even showing him photos from the insurance estimate), so he was fully aware. With X-plan, and brochure coupon I paid $37,100 for the 2011 'vert originally (about $38,500 after taxes/etc) so I took about a $7000 hit altogether ($38.5k - $31.5k). Another way of looking at it would be that it cost me $7000 to drive an awesome 5.0 'vert for a almost a year. Hertz? Not exactly....

I really want this 2012 BOSS sitting at the dealership by my house. Orange and black they want 43 something. I'v had mine almost a year now. But I think I will take to big if a loss on mine for it to make sense.

Going into winter time you're for sure going to take a hit. And there's probably no incentives to offset it on the Boss.

just curious...im sure there are lots of dealers with bosses setting on the lot...
was wondering what they would give for my car since i bought it back in Aug.

The dealer I was referring to was LB Smith ford.

I'v made my mind to wait to see what ford does in the next couple months. Plus winters here in PA so I'll need the 4x4 soon. Maybe ford will come out with some new colors and possibly some changes I will not be able to live without.
