Question about exhaust packages

I have been posting a lot to learn more about items and stuff as this is my first muscle car. I bought my 2014 GT it has flowmaster exhaust on it and it sounds fine but it has a drone on some gears and it just pierces my ear drums and the sound doesnt fit what I want. I am going to be buying headers soon probably american racing.

But my question is I am wanting to change out the flowmaster exhaust for the Roush axleback exhaust. I am wanting that mean sound I hear on every roush I run across. is there a heavy drone sound on this exhaust though to anyone who may have this? Or is there a recomendation of maybe even a better sounding exhaust in there opinion I could look up. But this is the one I believe I want.

Roush axle backs sound good for the money and have no drone as long as you leave the rest of the exhaust stock. But me personally after having roush, flowmaster outlaws and borla s types, borla S type is by far my favorite. It retains all the deep sound and character that the flowmaster has while sounding 100x better and no drone. That's just my 2 cents

Yea, I went from GT500s to Borla S type, they are a bit on the pricier side just for mufflers.

Just go to a mustang meet and you can hear all the exhaust. But yeah, Roush axle backs are good, not much droning going on.

Use the search function and you'll find more posts about this than you'll ever want to read. Consensus seems to be that Borla S-Type and Corsa Xtreme are the best due to their great sound and complete lack of drone. You get what you pay for with exhaust, and that's why Flowmasters suck.

Amen to this. Amen. Search is your friend.

And here, let me add a tidbit to help you out. What I have on the car should be noted in the video. Corsa and Kooks = end all be all. Period. Exceptional quality, customer service, sound, and of course drone-free. What else does one need?

Kooks Headers, Quad H Pipe, Side Exhaust - Test Runs - installed on 2012 Mustang 5.0 - YouTube
Looked like a bit of a close call at the end.

AR headers are good headers for the coyote. They'll fit, they'll last and you'll get good performance out of them. Can't speak to the mufflers mentioned, but if you can find yourself a set of GT500KR , takeoffs, you'd be set.
