This QTP tire will fit on 8" wheel?

I'm a little surprised that Hoosier recommends a minimum 8" wheel for this tire which is 11.5" wide. Maybe it's just the method they are measuring the tire width with that allows for them to be able to recommend it can be mounted on an 8" wheel? I'm thinking of mounting these on 8" RaceStars so I don't have to do the relocation bracket.

Maybe but it will be more effective on a 10" wheel. Why don't you want to do sway bar relocation brackets?

I'm hesitant right now because of how much drag racing I do. I have probably 300 passes this year alone with no issues on the rear axle. I'm worried about doing the relocation and adding additional stress.

If I do the relocations I'm going to weld the axle and add a brace. Really my car hooks good on a decent track with MT ET Streets. I'm just trying to get it to hook on a bad to mediocre prepped track. So if the QTP's will solve that problem being a DOT bias ply tire, I'd rather prove that theory wrong before making the next step to relocations.

Relocating the rear sway bar is not going to add any stress to your axle. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

You are probably right, but if my only problem is using a radial vs. a bias ply tire, and this tire works on the 8" wheel, I'd rather potentially spend less now and investigate that further before messing too much with the suspension and dealing with this install. Worst case scenario if I eventually determine I do need 10" wheels is that I will have 8" racestars I'll need to sell and replace with 10" racestars. I'll probably lose at worst a couple of hundred bucks on the transaction since I'll be able to reuse the tires on a 10" wheel.
