Pypes cat-back exhaust

Are they the first to incorporate an aftermarket resonator in there catback exhaust system? I know heartthrob put in resonators with there h-pipe
And pypes system doesn't sound bad

After taking another look. This system actually stops right before the stock h-pipe.

Those aren't resonators, they are their M80 mid mounted straight through race mufflers. I was running Borla Stingers with a catted x before. I have a custom setup now on my 2010 with Pypes M80's welded in and the Pypes Bombs just like they're offering with this catback. I love it.

well what Pypes is doing is called a mid-muffler system

what look like resonators are bullet mufflers, i guess you could just call them resonators also but they probably have a larger inside diameter than the stock ones the 2011 have.

the axle-backs their system has i guess is a muffler delete that have dimples inside, i'm not sure if it is a double pipe in there or what but it isn't too much of noise supressor

so it's like if you ran the stock exhaust with 3 inch tubing, bigger and freer flowing resonators and no mufflers out back

Agreed.

The Pypes Bombs are muffler deletes with resonated tips. Moving the mufflers to the middle of the car gives off a sound more like the SN95 Mustang's had, which I love.

Mine sounds almost exactly like this, but I have high flow cats on my x pipe.
