put rubbing compound on 2 scratches.....

I put rubbing compound on 2 deep scratches that I found on my front bumper and hood. The scratches were minimized but there's a cloudy haze from the compound now in the paint. What's the best way to get the shine back? I did 2 coats of bfwd but had little luck bringing back any shine. Color is Kona Blue .

Might need another layer of clear... Got pics? Super hazy or barely noticeable?

You need to use a finer compound next followed by a good polishing of the area. If you are near a professional detailing shop, it might be worth letting them buff the area for you. Should only take a couple minutes with a machine vs' an hour or so by hand. The scratch may not be gone completely but the hazy area is no problem to polish out.

Yup, just a polish with a machine would be preferable.

Hopefully the scratches are completely gone. What compound did you use?
