Potential engine oil cooler for 5.0
Looks like a potential engine oil cooler, Ford added one to the F-150 5.0L engine:

Wonder if there is even room for it to fit

The Ford kit will be available VERY soon for retro fit.
We got one of the adapter blocks in for the race car this week.

There is no need for an oil cooler on a mustang unless you plan to track the car. This was stated by the Ford engineers. They also discussed that extended periods above 4K RPM would lead to oil overheating. Oil coolers are not needed for 98% of owners, and the remaining 2% already know that they will be adding one anyway.
Now, if you use an F150 for towing, then an oil cooler is needed. Its much more taxing on an engine to move 10,000 lbs than it is to move 3,600 lbs.

It will not. An oil cooler does nothing for the internals of the engine except lower oil temps when they're already high, and add a wee bit of volume to the system. That's what it does. It cools oil. Nothing more, nothing less.

so this is FRPP's idea of an oil cooler for the new 5.0:
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=12171
its only the adapter block for the oil filter. You have to make the cooler setup your selves.
So here is what we are doing at Rehagen Racing. We are making our own kits utilizing this block, aeroquip Starlite (extreme lightweight flame resistant braided line) and aeroquip AN fittings along with a front mount cooler and remote oil filter setup.
Now keep in mind our standard offering is made from the BEST materials in the racing industry, no expense spared, HOWEVER we can make these kits with more affordable components like earls hoses for the more casual racer or street driver and they will cost significantly less
We are offering this kit for $695 un-assembled (you have to build the hoses and fittings yourself, we include them but you build them).
OR
For $75 extra we provide everything premade and ready to install in the car.
We have these kits in the shop right now and ready to ship
