Thanks! Well, I don't know how many miles were showing, now that you mention it. The fuel take was extremely low and the low fuel warning was on (you can't see miles/trip/other info when this warning is on). I didn't think to reset the error to display the miles.

Thanks everybody for the comments.

Michael,

I am impressed, and glad to see great pics of a black car as that is the color I am looking for.
Did I read correctly, you got rid of your 2010 for a 2011 and you felt there was that much of a difference in the interior? The added power is a no brainer, but intersting to read your thoughts on the difference within one model year. Guess the sound deading material they added really does make a difference.
As someone that has been on the fence with a get it now 2010 or a wait till later 2011, you have given me hope!

thanks...

Congrats on your car! Looks very sharp.

I'm about to leave Doug Stanley Ford with my new 2011 Mustang GT 5.0. Yeah, there was no way I could wipe that smile off my face. I'm almost 50 and this car made me feel 16 all over again. That's a great feeling, let me tell ya.
I completely understand. Awesome does that to me every day. I smile every time I see her. I can't help it.

Thanks Treygil. Yes, I traded my 2010 (owned it since April 2009) for the 2011. The interior of the 2011 is noticeably tighter. I know they changed the door/window seals and added a lot of sound insulation. So, apparently that and maybe improved quality accounts for the difference. It truly has a very quality/refined feel (and I've owned Mustangs since the 1971 model ...the 2011 is light-years nicer/better!).

mine has been doing the same thing the reponse has been overwhelming

i was at lunch the other day and in the same parking lot was a Rolls Royce Phantom and Bently Continetal GT parked side by side but my car drew the crowd and people were taking pictures of my instead.

Nearly $800,000 shown up by a $40,000 Mustang who would have thought

How did you manage to get into the Railyard and pick up the car? Most places require that the car is auto-carriered to the dealer.

Thanks Marz and Raidernixon!

Rms70: My dealer made arrangements to get in. I accompanied them in the rail yard.

Re making me feel 16 again when I drive my 2011 Mustang GT, here is a youtube video that I think explains some of what makes Mustang special to folks like me (aside from the fact that it's one helluva car).

LOL ...reasonable expectation given my username and avatar. I love Grabber Blue and have a sentimental preference for the color. But I also like black and, for some reason (maybe it's because of the black plastic trim moulding on the bottom of the car or the lines of the car), it looks especially good to my eyes on the 2010/11 Mustangs.

@orange3.9stang: Thanks ...hope yours gets delivered soon!!

Mine DID come in ... last Friday night; it was there when the dealership opened Saturday morning. Interestingly, the owner e-mailed me imediately but I was not home !! I was out and on my way home (around 10:30) I decided to drop by the dealership as I have done numerous times over the last few weeks.

It was the surprise of my life when the owner said "sent you an e-mail at 9 AM, figured you'd be here at about 9:15" ... I said "what do you mean ??" ... and he said "It's here, come take a look." They had finished the inspection but all their detailers had the day off, so I could have it with 4 weeks of dust & dirt on it (all the stickers & plastic still in place, basically as it rolled off the truck) or wait till Monday.

Went back at noon and did all the paper work, took it home, and cleaned and detailed it myself.

Doug

Congratulations!! FYI, the detailers at my dealership were off too ...and my salesman detailed it himself. I kid you not! First, he took me to the rail yard to see it and pick it up and then he detailed it himself. Now THAT's customer service!! I don't mind putting a plug in for him here 'cause he earned it: Frank Goswick, Doug Stanley Ford, Desoto, Texas.
