Yup agreed

Are you saying the factory 5.0 won't pull 'em? Or any number of 4.6ers here?
In case you haven't figured it out yet, there's always somebody with more money to burn than you! What's that got to do with the price of cheese? Doesn't mean you have to pizz away 20k to enjoy your ride the way YOU want to just because somebody else does.

And Terry & Brenspeed aren't the only ones using 'em. Saw these today locally:

I don't see how that matters.. Alot of folks just like how they look.. Sure they might look out of place on a V6 but not on a V8. Stock or modified.

Nothing wrong with old school meat. I have the stock 15x8" wheels on my corvette with 255/60's and they look awesome. The biggest gripe I have with old school wheels is that it is tough to find a good street / road track tire in that size. Cooper / Mickey Thompson have probably the best tread pattern, but they are still only T rated (118 mph).

yeah, nothing wrong if you like the look

i think what he is saying is that if you are using them that you better have the power to back them up
they look like you really mean it if you stomp on the gas and someone with a fast car will be like "so, let's see what you got"

I like 19's. But I think they could even use a little more meat. Then you might not even need to think about lowering it a little IMO.

19x9.5 wheels with 275/40/19 tires on all four corners. Like Stinger's setup would be nice.

I like the polished 18's from the Pony Pkg and optional on the GT Premium more than the regular 18's. Big factor to consider is how smooth are the roads in your area. 35-40 series sidewalls can be pretty harsh over lousy pavement.

The 18'' rims are pretty large in person. When I was building my GT before I got it, I always wanted 19'' rims because the 18's looked to small in photos, but in reality they're fairly large. I would think 20's would start to look stupid, 19's are ok.

I'm a tire noob.

The default tire size on the stock 18's are 235/50's. Could I use those tires with the Bullitt wheels, even though the Bullitt's recommended tire size is 255/45's?

Are the Bullitts 18x9s? If so, yeah you COULD, but it wouldn't be recommended. A 255 tire would be optimal.

That is where my next set will come from. They are a site sponsor on another forum I am on. The link below is to their official review/picture thread.

I dont think its the shorter sidewalls as I didnt notice the same effect on the 19" All-Seasons.

PS the 19's may be the same overall height but they are nearly an inch wider (255 vs 235).
Been looking at this myself as I try and decide if I want to Brembo package or not. The Brembo wheel/tire combo comes out to 27" tall, while the painted 19's come out to 27.7" tall, so you do have some more meat on the non-Brembo 19s if bad roads, etc are concerned. I've also been wondering about the Brembo specific springs too. I'm assuming they have a slightly higher spring rate, question is how much.

You are barely going to feel 0.5" of tire.
