Pedestal spoiler

On a 2011 GT Premium, is the pedestal spoiler available without the hood scoop?

****, I don't like the hood scoop

In the 2011 brochure it lists "rear spoilers" on the accessories page, but I am not sure which ones would be available.

At the end of the 2010 model year, you could split up the accessory packages (as well as the lighted door sill panels) but currently for the 2011's, you would have to buy the pedestal spoiler after getting the car, get it painted, then install it yourself if you do not want the hood scoop.

I don't believe that's true. The spoiler can be ordered separately as a factory accessory on the Build and Price site.

Yup, the Ford site shows the pedestal spoiler as a $355 option, but the dealer order system, and the 2011 brochure, do not show it as a factory option. Is there something I am missing?

Not the factory one on the new style hood.
Have you taken a good look at what they offer currently?

Yes, on the Build & Price site it shows that you can order the pedestal spoiler on it's own and it doesn't say paint it and install it yourself, leading one to believe that it comes painted and installed. My cousin brought this up when he ordered his 2011 a couple of weeks ago so the sales manager checked with the dealer's Ford rep. The Ford rep said that the web site is in error. The spoiler will come separately and it will be unpainted. At least that's what the salesman told my cousin.

The accessory packages (a number of which include the spoiler) appear on the window sticker as "dealer installed", yet the Order Guide lists them as "Pre-Installed Limited Production Options". In either event, for these this leads me to believe that the price shown includes paint and installation.

You must order the whole pack or paint it yourself and install.
I checked Friday since I am doing this to my car.
Regardless of what ANY website eludes to this is what's "is" in real life.

the hood scoop is terrible, but I want that wing.

The wing is not that bad, and I would have ordered it. My dealer told me I couldn't get it without getting the hood scoop. That hood scoop is down right criminal. Not even a Ricer would use such a POS. While we on the subject of scoops, those bolt/glue/tape whatever on side scoops absolutly suck. It and the hood scoop look like afterthoughts to increase profit. Ford if you guys are reading this, either build the scoops into the body or the hood as they should be, or forget about them.

I don't like any of the stick on fake scoops.

Although a little big, the '10-11 Accessory Hood Scoop would be more at home on a flat '05-09 hood.

With the raised "Power Dome" Hood of the '10-11, an added hood scoop on top of this just looks silly IMO.

I'm kind of on the fence on whether a "shaker" poking out of a stock '10-11 hood would even look right.

I don't like the pedestal spoiler OR the hood scoop. But to each his own.

I ordered all of them. Yeah, they don't actually DO anything, but I don't care.

I plan on running stripes down the center anyways, so it will make the scoop blend in a bit better.

We all have our own ideas of what looks good and what doesn't. I don't mind some of the other add-ons, but not the hood scoop. To me, the hood on the 2010+ Mustang is perfection. To mess with it is like trying to improve Mount Rushmore by adding another half dozen presidents.

Agreed, the power dome hood is fantastic on it's own. Slapping a "hood scoop" on top of it doesn't improve it's awesomeness. Sometimes less is more. If the fact that the hood scoop isn't functional doesn't change your mind, there have been many comments from people that the scoop starts to lifts in the corners due to the bolt placement. No thanks.
