Yep, same area on my 2014 as well. Mine looks the same with little blisters of missing paint. In fact I just added some touch up paint the other day as I was concerned about rust forming on the bare metal.

Nope. The part shown in the photo is steel. The flaws are in the paint. The hood is aluminum and the corrosion people are experiencing on them is a different issue.

I honestly think this is acceptable for a car in this price range. They have to cut corners somewhere. It's not visible from the outside, so I'd just live with it.

I kinda agree, as long as that's not corrosion forming. It'd be totally unacceptable on a $100K-plus car though.

I won't call it acceptable but I will say I can live with it. I'm only concerned with it getting worse and then rusting. I'm going to get some touch up and seal any popped bubbles.

Yes, my 14 has that in roughly the same spot. I tried to get it fixed under warranty along with some other paint defects on the underside of the hood and was denied. They said I spilled something on the paint causing it to look like that. Ford Warranty sucks.
