Ordering race red premium GT with saddle interior, manual, 64x 19" wheels, and 3.73 rear in July.
This will be my third mustang. Sorry for picture quality but......
65 coupe was my first car (best friends cyclone next to me).
78 mustang (I know!) Look at the 66 fairlane, that was mine also - 289, 4 speed top loader.
Current ride 98 contour svt.

I only paid $500 for the 65 Mustang in 74 and $500 for the 66 fairlane in 79. The 78 was my wifes car that I inherited when we married in 81. I worked, raised a family, and went to school at night for 12 years to get my mechanical engineering degree. If you have the will you can find a way.

I just turned 60 (can't believe it myself) and STILL think about cars all the time. The addiction never goes away. I've owned just about every Chevrolet they ever made and many other foreign makes too. My 2012 GT is my fourth Mustang. I had a '67 project car, a new '88 Lx, and a '92 GT, all v-8 and all manual trans.
This latest car is the most fun to drive of any of 'em and it goes like hell, with great music at higher rpm, handles great, and doesn't cost a lot. Automotive history will be kind to this vehicle.
