Nice! My dad bought my '64 Falcon convert with a 302 from my mom's cousin when I was about 12. At 16 we rebuilt a "Five Bolt" 289 for it. That was 24 years ago and I still beat it like a rented mule.

33 this year, my '06 is my first stang (LOVE it and plan to drive the chit our of her!), although not a complete virgin to mustangs (or Fords) in general. Various family members have owned various years including a red 64.5 vert (and various Ford, Linc, & Merc).
To make things even more interesting, I'm Vietnamese American

Did you see that one write up that they put a 2jz into an old 60 something mustang? You might like that

I did, I cringed.

I appreciate the hard work and a great engine, but it just doesn't sit well with me by plopping it into a 60s stang.

Maybe not you, but the entire last page was 40s and up! I was mainly joking though. It's neat to see youngins like us and mid life crisis guys and old farts all driving mustangs. Makes for a lot of neat looks too!

I'll be the big "5-Oh" this year so it's fitting I finally have a 5.0.

2nd Mustang but my first was a 2011 GT 'vert 6MT that I was more or less forced to sell due to a medical issue with my left foot (long story). So I kind of feel like the 2011 was a 'mulligan' and my 2012 is an extension of my 1st Stang.

Prior to this I was mostly a Honda & Chevy guy, but had great experiences with a 1992 F-150 and a 1997 Expedition E-B 4x4 (over 150k miles on both) that opened my mind to the Mustang. I sold a darn nice 2006 Accord v6 to get my GT...

It will be more fitting when you're 302 inches somewhere. LOL
