oh I just turned 28 and I like the color blue. I like long walks on the beach and steak and bacon and anime and cheese and mustangs and taco and nachos and xbox and spelling poorly on car forums.

Just curious, but how does a 17-21 year old afford to buy 50-60K dollar Mustangs, not to mention insurance?

I am a Wholesale dealer...so I buy and sell every make and model...the 2 V6's I paid for in full...the rest were on my floor plan...I have an open garage policy, so regardless of what the car is, I have full coverage.
Does that clear anything up?

Every car that I've ever owned has been in my name, and I make payments on everything....that's what happens when you work 6am-8pm everyday 6 days a week.

Not really. I don't know of any 17-21 year old with enough credit to start, and stock a wholesale car dealership. Unless mommy and daddy are footing the bill or backing the loans.

I'm 29 and this is my first mustang! It makes me feel all James Bond like...talking to it and all. They are cool cars, I need to pay it off so I can get another...If only they made one with more power, ohh wait.... 2013!

My father has been in the business for 38 years. When I turned 16 I worked for him...the day I turned 18, I went to the bank and got my own floor plan...I've been on my own ever since.

There are some people who work for everything they get....and 'Mommy and Daddy' don't have to pay for everything. I'm very fortunate to have the things that I have, and I take pride in being able to say that I've worked for every cent that has paid for those things.

Floor plan financing is a revolving line of credit that allows the borrower to obtain financing for retail goods. These loans are made against a specific piece of collateral (i.e. an auto, RV, manufactured home, etc.). When each piece of collateral is sold by the dealer, the loan advance against that piece of collateral is repaid.

In short, Dealer Floor Plan financing allows dealers to borrow against retail inventory. The dealer then repays that debt as they sell their inventory and borrows against the line of credit to add new inventory.
