Oval TB vs Round TB (aesthetics)

This is not about performance... lol

Anyone else thing round throttle bodies are ugly?
Oval has just grown on me and looks so hot with **** near every intake setup and round is just like awkward and "there"..

Seems like round throttle bodies look weird now or old or w/e anyone else feel the same?

I agree, I like the look of the "double" throotle body. It like each bank has its own dedicated throttle body.

Production 2011 engine bay will probably look a LOT better than the mule shots

The single large TB will have a higher flow capacity than the two small ones.

I'm disappointed they still have the stupid rice sound tube running into the passenger compartment

I'll take the LS any day, they have better and more affordable intake manifolds available including this:

Just sayin

Call it rice, but I think you'd be wholly unimpressed with the car to drive it windows up and not hear the engine at all. I know I wouldn't like that. I think the induction tube is a relatively stupid idea, but it's much better than the other option

Full aftermarket exhaust should be able to fix that no?

Mmmm ITBs...

And hey, I'll be happy if we actually get an aluminum intake rather than "composite" which is how it's been the last 10+ years.

Why would you want an aluminum intake? they hold more heat, what is the upside?

True, to a point. But they don't crack or look like crap when you pop the hood.

I like the oval. Makes it look bigger (even though it probably isn't).

I am curious what the 5.0 will look like in production form. Think they will put an manifold cover on the top like the current?

Yeah I'll take that lol...

You haven't heard of all the SN95 guys having problems with their 2V intakes? I'm pretty sure the 3V intakes have been better, but I just don't like plastic parts on my engines. Even if they dissipate heat a little better.

Kinsler offers a set up for our cars to, but unlike the LS our stock ECU can't handle it. That picture is actually one of the Kinsler set ups, they have a few others.

I would prefer sheet metal if for nothing else ascetics, I hate how cheap our engine bays look.

Wait until some of the aftermarket air intakes hit the scene. I had no regrets replacing the stock air intake tube on my '08 in terms of aesthetics.

Meh, our engine bays don't look much different than they did on the original Mustangs.

And there's no shortage of aftermarket people willing to sell you cheaply fabbed metal at healthy markups to placate your inner sense of beauty.

Actually no for much the same reasons a 4v head will flow more air than a 2v head. I'm pretty sure going back to a single bore throttlebody is a penny pinching manuever, just like using an aluminum intake rather than a plastic one.

Ford had a chance back in 1992 to change that and they blew it.
