Order change experiance, knowledge?

Any experience(s) or even better knowledge with order chang(-s)?
(What change, will it make delivery later, is new order necessary)

Just wondering.

If your car has not yet been assigned a VIN, then I believe you can change your order without having to enter a new order.

I have an order placed with Jeff (05fordgt) and just added the electronics package. He said it would not affect the delivery date because my order has not been assigned a VIN# yet. Once it has a VIN the order is scheduled for production, at that point I think you would have to start a new order.

I actually tried to make changes to mine on Friday and they claimed it was too late because it was scheduled to be manufactured this week. The strange thing is that they could not give me the VIN. I just hope they're not trying to pull one over on me or trying to get out of having to make any changes but I'm not sure why they would do either.

They should be able to give you a VIN. I have mine and my car is scheduled to be built on the week of 4/12.

Minor changes do not affect your place in line. But, according to my dealer, major changes (like different model -V6 to V8, different transmission) may end up as an entirely new order placing you back at the end of the line.
