Last year I ordered the 2013, so excited to order my very first car in my life.
I worked so hard my entire life to spring for a convertible 2013, and waited for 12 weeks...it finally shows up, and we were notified that the gt's here in Canada came with the v6 chrome grille and no fogs in the grille.
Of course, fast forward 11 months later, and true to form by transport Canada and big business , the 2014s are now here. Low and behold, guess what the change is for the 2014s in Canada.

Here’s my post from last year regarding this:
This is how they are being offered for Canada. We are investigating potential changes for next model year to make them consistent with the US market. The change was due to a requirement from transport Canada. Your dealer should have more info next week on this. Furthermore, we are in the process of removing all incorrect images from Ford.ca.

Too bad a little retrofit kit isn't available to those who want them at a small fee for shipping. After all we did pay for them at the time. I would be quite happy to return mine to the dealer for an exchange. This sort of reminds me of the early 60's ,the US market got 4 speeds in Falcon Sprints and Comets and we got 3 on the tree with a synchro first .I'm not crying over spilt milk but you guys in the States have always had the options that we want but don't get. We really thought Ford had finally come out of Dark Ages !!!!!!
Too late for Canadians who bought 2013's thinking we were getting what you got on your side of the river. You would think Ford would consider our loyalty and "pony up "a replacement for us. After all Gt's are a small part of a small Canadian market compared to the US market. Not sour grapes, just a long standing disappointment with Ford policies toward Canadian enthusiasts.

Lol at this thread!
You poor thing... I don't know how.you made it with a v6 grill... Im truly sorry for you. I hope you find a way to cope with your issue. Maybe ford will reach down to you and give you all your hearts desires. Just so you will be happy in Canada.

This is the point. You pre-order a car , wait 3 months and it shows up different than the promo and delivered products in the US.
And Ontario our law is specific, once you order a car, and put a deposit down you are NOT allowed to walk away without losing your deposit. I wasn't ready to walk away from a $1,000 deposit.
This is not about liking or loving the car, I do love the car, but the disappointment of not getting what you ordered from the ADVERTISED adds, and the Canadian auto show is BS - the little guy always gets screwed, that's the point.
Ford found away to make it happen for 2014 , only because sales may have dipped, and many new owners like myself shared disappointment on delivery. Funny how they found a way to make it work for 2014 ...of little compensation to the 2013 owners that had to take delivery of something falsely advertised !!!!
All I want to know, did the VP of this department to make sure the cars were compliant when they were not , did he / she get fired ? Cause if they didn't , that's even more sad that some d..k didn't know how the law worked in Canada to allow a false advertised car to be pre sold to unhappy customers , and still keep there cushy 200k a year job.
That's who should be fired , not the assembly worker to cut costs, but dummies that make the wrong decisions on products delivered incorrectly.
Good thing I love this car.
