I have a 2010 mustang gt and just did my oil change. I attempted to reset the oil life meter and it reset to 80% when it usually goes to 100%. This is the first time it has done this. I used a new oil filter and added 6 quarts of oil like I always do. Any idea why it is showing only 80%? I attempted many times to reset it.

 

Did you accidentally press the reset twice. Every time you press the reset button it drops the oil life by 10%.

 

I hit the reset a bunch of times but somehow when I hit reset it actually let me choose the percentage I wanted it at. It was quite weird
