That article was about paint from PPG (supplier to many automakers) not future colors for the Mustang.

While PPG is working on those colors, it's highly unlike the Mustang will see all of them.

Those paints are generally more expensive than standard paint. That's why the color changing paint in the past was only available on the SVT Cobras, where customers are willing to pay a premium for exclusivity.

Looks like it. Here's hoping Ford doesn't bring back Grabber Green. Yuck!

It's not very consitant with their latest trend of colors named and tinted after foods. There was an article about the marketing strategy of their paint and what they named their colors, and it was designed around food. Something that appealed to the senses since people are spending much more time in their cars these days... but I have no idea where it is. But, yeah.... whether they use the colors or not.. I don't know how many of them will keep their current names. I thought I also read, and it was perhaps in the same article, something about doing more experimenting with 3 phase paint jobs... more color shifting, and giving the paint more depth.. something to help set Ford apart from the competition.

Well, they defnately need to do something to get themselves an advantage somewhere. I'd like to see what a burnt orange with chrome combo would look like. I love that look on the new eclipse.
