New to us 2014 3.7L, what muffler?
Hi everyone,
We just bought our first 'stang ('14 3.7L) and I'd like it sound a little throatier and a littler louder than stock (without sounding like a ricer). I'd like to keep it as affordable as possible, so I've been thinking about ordering a pair of flowmaster 10 series mufflers. Is that all I would need, just the muffler? Would it void any of the warranty? Does anyone know where to order a pair that will work on the 2014? I can't seem to find any for our year. Thanks for any help!

welcome to the forum!
I haven't ever heard of anyone having warranty issues by replacing your axel back exhaust with something aftermarket.
Beware - Flowmaster brand is known for drone... You may regret it. I'm not an expert in the area. I do know the Flowmaster is good for that.

a huge favorite on the forum is the Corsa,Borla and Ford racing line products as well. They have one of the best (if not the best) exhaust sounds around.... they are expensive but, you pay for what you get.
Soon enough, others with experience with these products, will chime in

You're welcome! stay tuned, axel back mods are one of the most popular tunes and everyone will give you their two cents and feedback with their own experiences. everything really boils down to two things...
how much you want to spend
how loud you want it to be
good luck!

Want to spend $150 or less per muffler and would like it to be louder than stock, but quiet enough to have a conversation and hear the stereo. I know if my wife has to say "what?" I'm going to be in trouble.

haha understandable. I have the roush mufflers currently, and they are pretty loud, but make the 3.7 sound great. It's all personal taste really. I have someone in line to buy them once I get them off in a day or so, but I'm selling them for 300 shipped, if he doesn't.

Why don't you recommend the muffler brand you and Patrick are working together on? I liked your vids...

I thought they did single tip axel back..... I could be wrong.
I found that there is a Corsa axel back for the 11' - 13's V6

Yeah, I though about it but... it's not perfect and I am heading back there this week hopefully to finalize what they have. As far as i'm concerned, the product i'm working on, has no pricing and is not complete. not worth mentioning yet
Hey Op, here is the Link to an exhaust that being done for the 2014 V6 mustang. Makes the V6 sound really descent!
I'll post another video with advancedtrac OFF next time to see if 2nd will chirp a little harder

Yup... corsa is out of the question for V6 owners... they don't make any bolt ons for the V6, that's too bad.
not unless someone would be willing to cut it up and take it to a muffler shop and have make it fit with some cutting :S
even then. it may not sound right....

But if Solo would finish up their exhaust with Joe, we might have another axleback to mix in for V6ers. All they need to do is get rid of the drone!

I'd say borla touring if you are wanting a nice but very subdued "growl", but they are 2x what you are wanting to spend. You might look into some gt take offs on ebay

You guys sure Corsa doesn't offer a V6 solution...?

I hope you meant GT500. GT mufflers on a V6 would be an absolute waste of time. And if the V6 has a manual transmission, I'd say the GT500 mufflers would be a waste of time too, since they sound almost identical; the V6 MT has 3.5" tips and GT500 has 4". That's the main difference.
