New Rear lower fascia

Not sure if this has been said yet..as i'm uber lazy today and don't want to search but looks like that black 2011 has a new lower rear fascia.
It appears Ford is trying to loose a bit of diaper by making the sweep up a bit faster in the center.
A small step in the right direction for sure.

I agree, the rear end looks much better than the outgoing GT's backside, which now appears on the 2011 V6.

It is much improved. I still prefer the gt500 or the steeda q550 rear bumper, but this one will be fine until I get the money to mod

I don't see that much of a difference.

Some vents were added between exhaust tips. Reminds me of the rear fascia on a C5 corvette.

Tires/wheels are noticeably wider. The exhaust looks more "tucked". Not to mention the new diffuser. But **** those new rear headrest stick up a LOT. Luckily they fold down, if not they would surely block a LOT of the rear window.

You're looking at the front headrests.

Tires look like 255's to me.

These are the rear headrests. The new "required" rear headrests.

I agree though, looks like 255s. Although you can get 255s now on the Track Pack, and these look a little wider. Maybe 265s?

Could be, Ford could fit a 255 on an 8.5", if the rim is 9" on the track pack that would make sense.

Not sure I like the new diaper any better than the old one. The new one is actually a little fussier.

The 2011 photo is at a different angle which would make the tires naturally look wider.

I am not certain if the rear tires are wider, but the track definitely appears to be. The plane of outer face of the rim appears to be a lot closer to the inside lip of the wheel opening. I presume this is due to the wheel offset required to clear the Brembos.

I actually disagree. (to an extent.)
While the slots are cool n' all, they're non functional. Right? Actually, I think they're just grooves and not slots at all. Anyone confirm this? They're the same thing as the hood scoop... Plus I believe it sticks out an extra inch or so because the exhaust and rocker panel are just about flush.

Plus I kinda don't know what to look at first. The round cap, round exhaust, concave truck lid, the vertical lights, horizontal lines on the bottom... AS it was there were already a lotta shapes goin on. I prefer the clean, less cluttered one (2010). Tho I do like the gt500's the most, because it flows more so with the back. having vertical theme to them (matches the lights) - if that makes sense. Plus that diffuser is a safe bet, as it's been done before; the F430, DBS, SL63, (Camaro...) and the like. And actually, I can't think of any other car with horizontal bumper slots... some have grates, some are flush, some are vertical diffusers. But none are horizontal slots... that I can think up anyways.

IDK, call me biased but, I just don't see how 4, 6 inch by 2 inch (whatever the dimension is...) marks make people be in such awe and wonderment of the new fascia... Like it really didn't change it, it just added more to look at.

BTW this slot setup wasn't retro inspired was it? Meaning this is solo representative of the 2011, and no other previous Gen.

Looking at the spec sheet, http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2...g_GT_Specs.pdf ,there is an optional 19 x 9.0 wheel that's part of the Brembo package, so I would think the tires would be 255's.

Lookwise, you definately wider tires with the trackpack to give it that bad *** look from behind. Also, it still has that 4x4 look that i don't like. suspension and tires would be my first mods.

With those 9" rwheels, you need at the very least 275's to fill in the wheelwells.
