New noise

I just noticed a new noise on my 2014 GT. It is not as loud, but reminds me of the noise those knobby tires make on off road 4x4's when they drive on the road. I don't think it is my tires as I can hear the tire noise change as road surfaces change. It seems to get louder the faster I go....it is loud enough that it seems to cover my regular GT500 AB sound at a steady speed

Could this be a bad wheel bearing? Can they go bad at only 2,400 miles? If so, how do you tell which wheel it is, as I cannot seem to tell if it is from the front or back.....thanks!

Simplest first... look for something in a tire, like a lodged rock or nail or screw....

New noise

To check for a wheel bearing rock your car back and forth as you drive. 10 and 2 with the wheel. This will shift vehicle weight back and forth. Wheel bearings general get louder and then quieter as weight is applied and removed. Also check your tires closely. Especially the inside edges where it is hard to see. Make sure they are not cupped.

I have a noise, I think similar, when coming to a stop. Sort of a loud road-resonance noise.

Appt made to replace flange ( I think they said yoke) and outside bearings.....at least they acknowledged the noise....get a free rental so unless it rains, it will be fixed next Friday.

No, the tires make a different noise, I can hear them and that noise changes as i go over different surfaces...plus they are basically brand new.....they put it up on the rack and ran it and listened...sound was still there though the tires were not touching the ground....hell, I was 200 feet away and I could hear it.......
