Alot of great advice has already been posted, so I'll explore the practical and emotional reasoning behind either purchase.

If u have reliable employment and the lower mpg of owning a V8 won't drain your disposable income, id say get the GT. As great as the 3.7 is, you might regret your decision later if you're paying nearly the same price but notice the performance gap.

But, if the amenities of the premium V6 are a major concern or if u have a crazy-long commute or etc than there's a case for not purchasing the GT. Both are great cars.
