The Ford service rep working on my hold called as promised today.
My car is still on hold for parts shortages....wait till you hear this....
the next "POSSIBLE" ship date is JUNE 20th. That will make 9 weeks sitting
there. I know sh*t happens but we have gone to far now without the
slightest of a hint as to why. I believed the part shortage story up till now
but not so much any more. I am not sure what to do now. Is a
GT/CS vert,candy, man trans,elect pkg, hid, comfort package so special they cant
come up with all the parts....I dont think so. Sounds like I might be better off
starting the order all over again.

 

Man, that sucks. I hope all new cars being built don't have this hold.

 

You have got to be kidding me. I swear if they are missing tape stripes and not shipping them out i'ma killsomeone.

 

I'd be willing to bet that even if they had all the parts they would probably let it sit in a lot until mid June anyway...

So you're saying yours is built, "in-transit", sitting on a lot somewhere awaiting a new part?

I'm guessing they've seen issues with the made in China manual transmissions.

Seems like the automatics are being delivered.

 

I just told my dealer to order the car again. I bet I get the new order first. I told
her if the old one comes in first I probably wouldnt take it. The car is starting its
life being jinxed.( I know, I am being childish)

 

Did the Ford rep say it was just your car or every GT/CS?

 

Did they say what the parts they are short? This keeps getting better and better.

 

Mine is a GT/CS auto, still not here, maybe it is the tapestripe.

 

Did you order HIDs?

 

I didn't order HIDs and I'm on hold.

OK Everyone who is still on hold post your entire options. Maybe we can find a common part.

Mine is in my Sig.

 

Ditto and the only add I did is the comfort package....well and it's a convertible.

 

Maybe it's the side scoops or spoiler.

Ford rep told my dealer there are 3 to 4 issues and don't expect for another month, which is late June.

It would HAVE to be drivetrain related, I would think, since everything else is carryover

 

My only options are auto and CS package.

 

Not transmission
Not seats
Not HIDs
Not security package
Not comfort package
Not glass roof
Not gears
Not electronics package
Not rear camera
Not spoiler or lack thereof
Not CS package

Looks to me like if it is a part, it is a part common to all GTs / GT500s.

 

Could be any of the unique parts to the CS.

Front Grill - prob not, same as MCA
Front Facia + (Unique)
Side Stripe - not likely, simple decal, not enough reason to hold thousands of cars for months. (I HOPE)
Side Scoops - JohnnyB's car was shipped with the Accessory Package #5 which has side scoops
Pedestal Spoiler - Also in Accessory #5
Rear Decklid - Accessory #5
Rear Badge + (Unique)
Dash Sig (GT/CS on dashboard) +
Floor Mats (God I Hope Not)

Rear Diffuser ++ Possible, GT500's are in short supply

 

I think your on to something coffee, I just asked our dealership owner if he had heard anything and he stated that he was told there was an issue with the rear brakes. Will we ever know all the issues that affected our cars? Probably not and hopefully not! I want my car to be perfect! Judging by what other have said and I have heard, my car is probably on all the lists, excect the gt/cs stripe!
