So as my research continues on building an engine this winter I called ford racing. I found out they are making a new 4.6L 3V aluminum block with forged internals. The block will be capable of over 700hp at the crank. Not to spark another why not a 5.8 or a boss281? just some news that I heard directly from Ford racing.

 

When is it due?

 

they said the block itself is now up and on the site, I didn't see anything new. As for th shortblock they said maybe 8-10months, sounds like an 09-10 possiblilty.

 

Seeing that Ford Racing is not directly Ford.....
I wouldn't read too much into it.
