Need some good input...

I recently purchased a 2013 5.0 GT/CS and I am wanting to make a few tweaks to it. I am wanting to get new exhausts in it and I'm wondering about what would be best for it. I'm also interested in some engine mods if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks a lot in advance. And here is some pictures.

Beautiful car.

First thing is to remove the dealer sticker on the trunk lid.

Then runaway as fast as you can. This site will cause you to lose lots of money.

Man that DIB is nice looking on your Cali Special. I wish we could have swung a '13, but it was just a little too much money. We actually looked at a DIB track pack GT at Wildcat Ford in Lexington.

Are you from Pulaski county or just bought the car there? I'm in the Richmond area just a little north. We were just over in Somerset over the weekend for the cruise. I was kinda disappointed, though. There were only a few Mustangs at the show. There was a really nice un-restored 65 GT and a brand new '13 GB Brembo GT, though.

As for mods, I like the Magnaflow axle backs. They have a really low rumble that the factory mufflers lack, aren't too loud, and are very easy to take back off if you need to. There are tons of Youtube clips of stock versus many of the different exhausts to give you an idea of sound. As for other mods, it comes down to how much money you got and how fast you want to go. LOL

California Special? What does this include in the way of specialties that the other packages don't?

As to advice, make sure you have a good relationship with your Ford service center. Some engine modifications are good with your factory warranty, some may not be. Ask the dealership service center before buying.

Color is great. Clean look on the front end; really like that. The back end is starting to grow on me; still unsure about the new license plate area.

Depends if you want full exhaust, cat back or just axle backs. I like the GT500 axle back the best for the money paired with an o/r x or h pipe. Had Roush's and did not care for them.
Best mods for the money is a sct hand held with a custom tune from AED, VMP or Lund and an o/r pipe.
CAI is very controversial as many see dyno gains but not much at the track. Another good area is suspension mods.

Is it possible to get a GT/CS front splitter and put it on a regular '13 GT?

Thank you guys for the input. All the posts were helpful. Gonna shop around with the recommendations you all gave me. Count me in on Wheelman's car sounding awesome as well. And Bucko, it's an amazing car. I would prefer it to a lot of mustangs simply because of the looks. Again, thanks for the help. I'll get back to you all when I get some new parts!

Thank you! I think I missed the engine mods part of the original post. Just keep in mind that engine mods are the quickest thing that'll void your warranty. Im not waiting the full 7 years (extended warranty) personally, but Ill wait a few, upgrade everything else (suspension, tires, chassis, etc) in the meantime and slowly add engine mods. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I think I'll take your advice about not voiding my warranty. And after that video of your car, I'm really thinking about those Borla exhausts. Is the installation pretty straightforward on those? Thanks again.

wheel, nice 13 man. Love the grabber. Also love the Borla. You have no idea how many times I went back and forth between the borla and the gt500. I settled with the gt500 and love it. Those 2 exhausts are top for sure.

Here's a vid of my gt500's...I love em.

To the OP, nice car and welcome to the forum. You can do a lot of research here as to what you think should be the best/first mods to do. What do I recommend? Check out my signature I love all mods... I want to keep them simple and tasteful.
